London’s Shameful Salute to Israel

Yesterday London was filled with Zionists celebrating 60 years since the rape, massacre and transfer that constituted the ethnic cleansing of Palestine and the ‘birth’ of Israel.
Feedback from the protest suggests that Zionists were very abusive to demonstrators Talking Virtually to Myself saying:
The bizarre thing was was that the Zionists, the supporters of one of the worlds most powerful and influential countries… were angry and shouted abuse at the protestors! I was thinking, hang on, in your shoes I would smile smugly, and would not bother with such alteractions. So the question is, why were they intimidated? maybe these protests have an effect after all….
Several photographs on Indymedia also confirm the rather disgusting confrontation of peace activists by emboldened Zionists.

In Trafalgar Square, looking at the sea of blue and white flags and realising that although a Palestinian demonstration outside South Africa House was trying to do it’s best to spoil our fun, there were more of us and we were louder. They didn’t have a chance of taking the moment away from us. Additionally, we had Ed Balls, the Minister for education, Nick Ferrari, the broadcaster, The Chief Rabbi etc – talking to us, NOT them.

If you were there, you know exactly what I am referring to. If you weren’t, I don’t think this description can fully describe what it felt like.
In short – today, on the streets of London, I was a Jew and a Zionist and I could wave my Israeli flag to my heart’s content – because no one would dare to stop me.
To sum up ladies and gentlemen – Today, London was mine.
Trust a Zionist to feel satisfaction in strength, power, nationalism and the silencing of Palestinians. It seems like London was occupied and owned and just like land grabs in Palestine no-one dared to stop it.

It was utterly disgusting to see Moslems shouting and displaying banners that contained nothing but lies! There is no point the Arabs complaining about Israel. Israel is a light unto the nations, the Arabs/Moslems are a dark cloud of doom.
With all this in mind we might ask why the left as a whole didn’t engage in shutting down this imperialist celebration of triumphant colonialism and racism. If there’s a next time the trade unions and anti-war movement should stand in solidarity with our comrades and prevent their intimidation.
I agree, I have to say I was bemused all along by the lack of response to the zionist parades (there’s another one in Manchester). The Palestinian and antiwar activists I spoke to were mainly pessimistic that we could get enough people to get the upper hand in the inevitable confrontation. But we could at least have held a counter demo.
Sickening. And equally sickening is how the BBC and other British mass maedia has totally blanked out endless zionazi atrocities from their pages and screens for decades. The latest being the atrocious Shin Bet attack on and abuse of award-winning Palestinian reporter, Mohammed Omer last Thursday. Not a dicky bird, hey, from the Beeb, with its new, elegant but totally sham monument to journalists in the line of fire.
I’d recommend any other outraged citizens to call them out on their hypocrisy and dissimulation – all the lying creeps in the British press, radio & TV, and cite these few lone unheard of sources for a reminder that not everyone is getting their information in selective dribs and drabs between cooking shows and soap operas:

I totally understand your sentiments good Christian Ian. Once I friend of mine who is a devout Christian, explained to me why Christians so blindly support Israel. According to her Christians are taught that first Israelite Jews will annihilate all Muslims in the holy land and after the land is cleansed of Muslims Jesus will return among Jews. Jesus will cleanse the holy land of all Jews(either convert or annihilate them) and rule the world. Your support to Israel is not for the love of the Jews you are using them as a stepping stone to the resurrection of your Jesus.

I remember passing the gentleman with the sign saying “60 years of war” (is that you?) and wondering if he had ever been to Israel, Gaza or the West Bank? I followed your link to Loolt’s blog about the parade and she can’t even get the day/date right. It seems to be very symptomatic of the Anti zionist stance – somebody makes a mistake and the rest of them soak up the misinformation blindly – didn’t you read her blog before you recommended it on your site?

Hello Lilli, which misinformation are you refering too? Simply the date? Is that the strongest case from each of our articles? Your not going to contest main points?
My opinions are generally based on the work of Jewish scholars – Chomsky, Finkestein, Pappe, Blankfort, Morris etc. That and I’m a big follower of Israeli media, it usually giving a more accurate portrayal of things than here in the UK, I enjoy the work of Gideon Levy for example. You think these guys are propagandists?!? What are your sources?
In my experience it’s the other side who swallow misinformation. E.g. I have a friend who moved to Israel as her family are there. When she lived in Scotland I didn’t know anything about the conflict and when I started to run these websites someone told her what I was doing and she came to me to find out what was going on.
As it happens we had a chat and both agreed to share different sources to educate each other on our perspectives of the conflict. I sent her scholars (as mentioned before) she sent me wikipedia pages…

I had considered in responding with intelligence, but there is no use trying to talk sense to an anti semite that suffers from a severe inferiority complex. People like the person who wrote this article puts a stain on human kind! my advise to you would be to crawl into a whole and die.
