It’s time we admitted finally to ourselves that our own government is first and foremost at war with its own people.Yes,it’s us-not the terrorists-who frighten them out of their tiny minds.

Those still sensient members of the public will have noticed that when the terrorism occurs lo and behold all the CCTV,and the best air defence in the world fail to save anyone.Such Homeland Security/NORAD fail on a monumental scale and the bombers get through as those for whom they work intend they should.

When the outrage occurs there is certainly a wave of Islamophobic hysteria but again what should be glaringly obvious is that the immediate ascription of blame to such sources is a classic sign that it is the state itself that is responsible,that we are confronting yet another conspiracy conducted by own government.

On the very day of 7/7 before any investigation had even begun Commissioner Blair was asserting(and immediately retracting in the same breath)that “four miserable bombers” had been responsible.These of course were the patsies lined up long before by British intelligence to take the rap.Conveniently these were suicide bombers whose deed put them beyond the the reach of justice and the law.

The videotape evidence of course told quite a different story.The time on the video recording of their embarkation meant the four could not have been in London by the time the bombs had done their worst.

We now know that just as on 9/11 a parallel security exercise wherein Tube explosions were the envisaged scenario was being conducted simultaneously with the actual attacks.The four patsies had clearly been taking part in this exercise not the real one.

The 7/7 outrage had like 9/11 and the Prestwich airport attack been carried out by the detached corps and parallel service of the state.Moreover the security threat level in all three cases had been lowered prior to the two atrocities and the “attempted” one.

The resort to false flag terror is the state’s response to what it perceives as a grave social crisis.Ominously from our point of view once the state has embarked on the course of artificial terrorism it’s like a drug and more massive and frequent doses will be required.

Given that the left has yet to take any of this on board-indeed has largely dismissed it as “conspiracy theory”-it seems likely that the general public will sign up for the national security state and yield to the power of the nightmare the state itself has created for them.The state will return the favour by protecting the public as long as it is no longer called into question by anyone.

That terrorologists have taken up stations in the corporate media and our universities should come as no surprise.

In the former,elites can use cyphers like Frank “Ironside” Gardner to purvey the official propaganda of the War on Terror.In the latter,research funding is dependent on conformity to corporate interests so that originality and independent research are,while lip service may be paid to their virtue,not greatly valued.Ever prone to elitism and irrelevance the ivory towers are the last place one would now look for intellectual challenges to the state.

Certainly the intelligence agencies have hyped the terror threat as a means to their self-perpetuation and have been quite clumsy about it.Yet an NUT leaflet in 2003 that briefed teachers on how they should deal with questions from their charges about the coming conflict disseminated the very same insidious notion parroted so effectively by the corporate media that the Iraq war was inevitable- but would hopefully soon be over.

Such unquestioning acceptance of the official inflated external threat was not much different from MOD public notices at that time.

The “inevitable” war still rages and the police state is round the corner.If we had learned from history we would by now have come to terms with the true state-sponsored provenance of the current threat.
