Let’s not forget lil ole Israel

Good advice. For some reason the mainstream media does so every day. Even when it doesn't, it relegates it to the backpages, whereas Tibet and Zimbabwe frequently make front page.

oh please. First of all, Zimbabwe and China don't get all the attention. Let's not forget lil ole Israel, which gets more attention than both those countries and the rest of the world put together. Second of all, has it really come to the point where supposed leftists reflexively back Zimbabwe because its leader is a former freedom-fighter (turned mad dictator) and back China because it maintains a formal "communism," and is willing to overlook the human rights abuses in those countries. The chinese, after all, have the blood of their own citizens on their hands (tien an mien square, falun gong, pro-democracy dissidents) in addition to Tibet and aiding the nastiest of nasty regimes (Zim, Sudan, Burma, North Korea). I would have thought that one could hold America accountable for its foreign policy decisions but still not lose sight of the real bad apples out there. Shoulda known better.
