Brazil has already stated that they regard the Bank as complementary to the World Bank and IMF thus have severley “qualified” the goals of the Bank for the foreseeable future ; and the surprise interest to join the bank by Colombia was expressly with the goal that the Bank is “not a rejection” of the IMF and World Bank.The moves seems to be a fillabuster type interest on behalf of Uribe.

Chile has expressed an “interest” though not much follow through seeing as Brazil and Colombia will dilute any genuine Boliviafication of the Banks remit for the time being.
