By uncovering the true provenance of two recent and one historic document it becomes clear that the Israeli penetration of the British Establishment is no recent phenomenon but goes right back to the founding of the Zionist entity in the first place.

It was Milner’s Round Table Society,or as Carroll Quigley preferred to call it in his book The Anglo-American Establishment:”The Group”,who wrote the so-called Balfour Declaration in 1917.

Had the Rothschild family been backers of the Zionist idea it might plausibly be argued,as has been done since,that a Jewish conspiracy was at work.In fact, while Lord Roshchild and Herbert Samuel constituted what we might now think of as the original Israeli Lobby by backing the state’s foundation,majority feeling in both families and within Balfour’s government itself was originally hostile to the idea.

It was the Milner group’s imperialist rationale for the founding of a Jewish homeland in Palestine that subsequently won the support of the power elite including figures like Smuts and Lloyd George.

Amery,acting as Milner’s lieutenant,wrote in his diary that The Group’s long-term goal was the establishment in Palestine of a centre of Western influence,using the Jews to carry the English ideal throughout the Middle East.

Clearly no humanistic impulse on behalf of the Jews and their history of persecution is discernible.But it is uncanny how Milner’s talk of the Jews as a channel for the transmission of “English ideals” resembles the corporate media prattle re-Israel which we have to endure today about the state being the only vestige of democracy in the region etc.

The provenance of the infamous Blair dossier is a more recent case of Lobby penetration.It was one Dr Barry Rubin,sole proprietor of Middle East Review of Inernational Affairs,who gave the light of day to the original piece that became known as Blair’s dossier and was given centre stage when Powell described the paper’s findings re-Iraqi WMD as “exquisite” in detail at the UN!

Talk about making an arse of oneself.The Lobby must have been creasing themselves laughing!

In his prolific pro-war output Rubin waxed so lyrically re-the prospects for an Anglo-US invasion of Iraq precipitating the advent of democracy across the Middle East his writing was dubbed “Bernard Lewis For Dummies” after the Arc of Crisis strategist himself!

The Blair dossier was thus known in intelligence circles as a product of Israeli-cooked a la Rubin propaganda material.

Given that the corporate media long ago passed into the hands of die-hard Lobbyist empires like those of Hollinger and Murdoch
selling the Iraq war was never going to lead to any prosecutions under the Trade Descriptions Act!

The final signatories to documents of dubious provenance like the Balfour Declaration and the Blair dossier is the Guardian letter standing by Lord Browne when he was forced to step down as BP chief executive because of revelations re-his relationship with Jeff Chevalier(who…a boyfriend I think it was?).

A Who’s Who of the Lobby-infiltration of the British Establishment if ever there was one.The list included:Lord Gavron,Rabbi Julia Neuberger and….wait for it the Roshchilds.

The Lobby has indeed come along way since the days of Milner’s Round Table.
