The world should thank the Israel Lobby. Despite all the current trouble in the Middle East, the US-Israel relationship is the only reason why there even ever was (and still may be) a peace process at all. Consider...

1948-1973: US-Israel relationship is lackluster. Four major regional wars break out. No peace process. Arabs focus on wiping out a much smaller Israel with military attacks.

1973+: US supplies Israel with help just as their defenses were about to completely break from a Soviet-sponsored Egyptian attack/war. US foreign aid to Israel begins. In the 37 years since, no war has broken out nearly as severe as that one, two peace treaties were signed, and the majority of both Arabs/Jews came to accept the idea of a two-state solution.

Fighting against the US-Israel relationship is akin to fighting for a return to the first part. No one wants that.

I like Israel. Most Americans like Israel, especially compared to pathetic dictatorships like Saudi Arabia and Iran. It is their right to lobby their government to support Israel. What try to spin it as some sort of conspiracy?

I'm still watching the video...but I see now that this one is another I will have to borrow from you.
The Stranglehold of AIPAC on my gov't, including those who have announced their run for President in 2009, and on my mainstream news media and media in general, is no less tight, but the LIE of it, the mostly hidden lie, is being slowly revealed and this is due largely to the Internet.
I am grateful to have discovered your important site.
